  • An educational background in the social services or related discipline and/or work experience related to providing crisis intervention services to victims of crime and trauma
  • Strong administrative background or skills
  • Good interpersonal and communcation skills
  • Ability to function well in high stress and emotionally charged situations
  • R.C.M.P. Enhanced Security Clearance is required
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC driver's license or equivalent with an acceptable driving record
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills



  • To coordinate administrative duties related to the delivery of program services including supervision of office procedures, maintenance of client and volunteer files, collection of statistics and reporting as required
  • To be responsible for the orientation, training and development of volunteers in the program
  • To develop and maintain a current resource manual

Direct Service:

  • To receive referrals from members, and to make contact with clients in a timely manner
  • To interview and assist clients within the boundaries of the program services
  • To arrange referrals to additional resources where necessary

Responsibilities to the Community:

  • To work in cooperation with other community resources on behalf of victims
  • To attend inter-agency meetings and acitvely cooperate with other agencies as appropriate
  • To make community professionals and the general public aware of the work on program

25hr/week + 2hrs overtime

Salary: $20/h
