 Fort Nelson Employment Services is Expanding

As a result of a new contract recently signed with the Province to provide employment services to the community of Fort Nelson, Employment Services will be expanding and will be recruiting for the following positions:

                      *Program Manager/Financial Controller

·                                *Employment Support Worker

·                                *Receptionist

     *Labour Market Information / Employment Support Worker

 NEW CONTRACT AWARDED

Fort Nelson Employment Services has been awarded a contract to deliver the new Employment Program of British Columbia on behalf of the Ministry of Social Development beginning in April 2012 for Fort Nelson and the surrounding area.  

The new employment program will support all British Columbians eligible to work in Canada and seeking employment to find jobs. The program will be delivered through WorkBC Employment Services Centres in communities across the province.

“Our goal is to give unemployed British Columbians the supports and services they need to find and keep a job,” said Minister of Social Development Stephanie Cadieux. “The new WorkBC Employment Services Centre in Fort Nelson will provide quick and easy access to help people find work.”

The new centres will integrate all services currently offered by nine legacy programs through one-stop centres that make it easier to help people find work and provide stability for their families.

Fort Nelson Employment Services has been providing employment related services to the community of Fort Nelson for the past 16 years and will continue to provide services under this new model offering the community a vast array of employment related services from its new WorkBC Employment Service Centre.

Effective April 2nd, 2012 Fort Nelson Employment Services will be entering into a new contract with the Ministry of Social Development.  As a result, we will no longer have permission to access “old” client resumes.    

If you have a resume either stored on a computer in our job search area or were assisted with a resume by one of our staff, please make arrangements with Ernestine to drop by and obtain a copy or have one emailed prior to

March 31st, 2012 as all equipment will “be wiped clean.”
