Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Labour Management, Business or HR from a recognized institution of five years’ experience of Non-Profit related work experience
  • Demonstrated Leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of government contract management
  • Organizational effectiveness, and operations management implementing best practices
  • Execellent interpersonal skills and collaborative management style
  • Excellent Computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of Labour Standards
  • Experience in working with Indigenous communities and or urban Aboriginal organizations
  • Provide a current criminal record check
 

 

Duties:

  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the various departments in the organization
  • Improve process and policies in support of organizational goals
  • Working with Executive Director to assist in recruitment and placement of required staff, establishment of organizational structure, delegation of task and accountabilities
  • Establish work schedules, supervise staff
  • Monitor and evaluate performance with the Executive Director
  • Initiate team building workshops, promote positive working conditions
  • Monitor, Manage and improve the efficiency of support services and programs
  • Oversee organizational Insurance Policies
  • Ensure Health and Safety committee meetings are held and task assigned
  • Attend community meetings and out of town meetings
  • Other tasks assigned by Executive Director
