Description

The Northern Rockies Child Development Association are looking for an Early Childhood Infant and Toddler Educator to join their team!

Tasks:

  • Develop and implement child-care programs in a new, updated infant/toddler childcare program.
  • support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of infants/toddlers.
  • Engage infant/toddlers in activities by telling stories, teaching songs.
  • Working knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Assess the abilities, interests and needs of infant/toddlers and discuss progress or challenges in a supportive manner with parents and other staff members.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with infant/toddlers.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of infant/toddlers.
  • Co-ordinate activities with the early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants’ team in your room
  • Must have the ability to sit, stand, lift 50 pounds, walk and run without issues or challenges.

Start Date: July 4, 2024

Wage Range: $26.83/hr - $27.75/hr

Qualifications

A successful candidate would:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Qualify for a BC ECE License to practice as an ECEIT
  • Pass a Vulnerable population check
  • Have current First aid/CPR training

Education Required: Early Childhood Education with Infant Toddler Education 2-year Diploma
