About Northern BC Tourism Association:

Northern BC Tourism Association (NBCTA) works to develop, support, and sustain the tourism sector in northern BC and is one of five regional destination management organizations in the province. NBCTA is a non-profit association led by a board of directors elected by industry, and works collaboratively with the provincial government and Destination BC, a Provincial Crown Corporation, to advance the tourism sector throughout the region.

Our team is small, but mighty. What we need is an energetic, independently minded, professional, and organized emergency management and communications professional to support the visitor economy in Northern BC through emergency management and preparation.

Summary of Position:

The Marketing Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Northern BC Tourism Marketing
team and our partners to support promoting Northern BC as a remarkable and sustainable
travel destination.
This position is responsible for the effective coordination and project management of the
association's marketing initiatives including project management, stakeholder engagement,
campaign coordination - including paying close attention to all details and moving parts of
complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders.

Location: This position has the ability to work from anywhere in Northern BC. Travel may be

Annual Salary: $50,000 - $53,000


  • An extremely organized and detail-oriented individual who has a proven ability to
    manage multiple complex projects at one time
  • Very strong communication skills and a proven ability to present projects to stakeholders
    and generate buy-in
  • Must be comfortable designing and writing copy for email newsletters and websites
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Google Suite, Meta Business Suite (Facebook
    and Instagram)
  • Other qualifications not required but considered an asset (successful candidate will be
  • Copy writing and editing
  • WordPress
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Final Cut)
  • Social media management platforms
  • Airtable or other Project Management software
  • Google Analytics
  • Digital Asset Management
  • Grant writing and marketing campaign reporting
  • Ability to report on, and analyze, digital metrics and provide reporting on all digital
    marketing efforts
  • Canva
  • Mailchimp

This is a temporary full time 1-year contract position with eligibility for benefits after a 3 month probation period and a strong opportunity to continue past the one year mark based on performance and funding. The anticipated start date is June 15, 2024.
